The name goes back to the late 1500s, when this was a small hospital in the countryside. My parents bought it in 1973 — and since then it’s where our family has come to rest, eat, argue, and celebrate. They were great hosts, restless travellers, obsessive gardeners, and collectors of everything they touched. You’ll understand the moment you walk in. I inherited most of their habits. I work with artists and creative people, and Ospedaletto became a personal project — where family legacy meets my obsession with old things and tiny details nobody notices but me. You won’t find hotel service here. But an honest welcome, a garden worth the visit on its own, a pool nobody wants to leave, and Romagna doing the rest. A house and a loft for vacations, residencies, retreats, weddings, meetings, shooting. Between guests, I move chairs, try new corners, put objects back in the same spot. I don’t stop until something clicks. It might be my favourite hobby.
